You would put your child through the ordeal of giving evidence in a court, exposed to the world and have to face the results or walk away with $12m?
I would protect my child and take the money to get her out of the environment that reminded her of the abuse.

I seriously doubt the police and AG would of pursued a case against another media star unless they were very confident about it.
