I think those who still remain friends with their ex's are just leaving the door open for a future fuck, fling, whatever. You might see your friendships with your ex's as a good quality, sort of like reassuring all future girls that you won't cause any post-breakup drama.
No girl (or guy for that matter) wants their current boyfriend/girlfriend to interact with any guy/girl they once fucked. You want that chapter of their lives to be done.
