Yeah, I know some sponsors that are like that. When we first started with TopBucks, we wouldn't register the .net, .org or misspells. We left them for the WMs to register to promote us. Now we register the whole gauntlet for one domain name.

Yes, it will just become extra especially with .mobi increasing in popularity. But for right now until the mobile market gets bigger, you are right that "mobile" in the domain is good for SEO.
