I'm not talking about humans going to other planets, but aliens coming to Earth (although I don't see why wouldn't be possible in the future), and since we have no idea what is out there, or what resources beings from other planets or universes may have, it would be pretentious of us to say that interplanetary travel is impossible.

in any case, it's more of a high-morals-bashing type of question than a literal one; just like they are banning gay marriage nowadays and sex between humans and other species from our own planet is illegal, if aliens ever would come to our planet that would spur an endless amount of new laws, prohibitions and pseudo-morals issues.
