many times even PI's cant get unlisted numbers, maybe because they are using some voip stuff or maybe because the number is listed under someone elses name or 500 other reasons, many dont even have land lines now.

here is a trick, yes it sounds stupid but it has been used successfully many times, it requires some leg work but sometimes for certain things its worth it

first step is get a 800 number for 5 bucks setup at one of the many sites, when someone calls 800 caller ID shows regardless unless they use spoofing or in the event of VOIP it might show the VOIP switch number,

step two get some fake lotto scratch off tickets

14 bucks for 60 http://cgi.ebay.com/Fake-Lotto-Ticke...3A1|294%3A 50

step 3 rig it so it says (Winners please call 1800-YOUR NUMBER) make sure its rigged so he dont see the part that says its fake, then mail it saying we are mailing a free lotto ticket to all past clients, good luck and call us again, mail it from a company you know he uses or just generic.

now here is the KEY on the 800 number set it up so when he calls he hears "Sorry this 800 number does not accept calls from your number please try again" this will make him start calling for his cell phone his wifes phone all over town, people are curious and semi smart people fell for this

it sounds far fetched but its not
Gee, all that drama over 3k? and then like you said once he gets the phone number then what?
