So the police are called because someone is breaking into a house, and when the police show up he refuses to ID himself and refuses to show any ID. At this point the situation went from a minor misunderstanding to guns being drawn.
Sorry charlie. If I try to force my way into my own house, someone calls the cops, and I refuse to provide ID to anyone, well, I'd be going to jail too.
