In high school I worked at Wilentz, Goldman & Spitzer David T Wilentz who basically ran the Democratic Party in NJ and would hand select the Governor of NJ. Politics in NJ has always been a cigar smoke filled room type of business where favors were given in exchange for political seats.
After college I worked with former NJ Gov James McGreevey who got busted for being gay and giving his boyfriend the head of Homeland Security position.
Despite all of this, corruption in NJ politics will not change. It has always been and will continue to be a system draped in a rich tradition of nepotism.

You would think having a governor that gave/got bj's in service areas up and down the parkway and then wrote a book about it would not mind having a little convention ??
