the ads are primarily for developers to earn revenue on top of sponsorhips etc.
the main feature for publishers is the games and the mochi bridge (score submission system good for FB/Arcade Communities)

The big buzz atm in flash gaming is for microtransactions which places like mochi are trialing in high spec games.
Eventually the publisher will get a cut of this revenue once it is out of beta sorta like a referral fee.

Oh and traffic share on mochiads is for Developers, not publishers. But that traffic is basically unsold traffic in the system like china etc where they have no ad revenue coming from.
