You should have stuck with running the bar. The more experience you get, the more successful you become. You just needed to wait it out.
Things like guns and fights 'n shit in clubs happen all the time. It's part of the business.
I don't think the gun incident was the real reason you quit it all. Perhaps you just couldn't take it any more.
