Give the guy a break. Everyone knows that there are all kinds of hang outs: Clubs, bars, pubs, lounges, etc etc. Comparing a bar to "competition" that is a huge dance club is unfair and makes no point.
The picture's in Sleazy's club are bad. A professional camera would have a wider, faster lens and manual ISO settings that could have been used to capture more of the clubs ambient light, requiring less flash. You can't possibly tell anything about a club's feel when you use a bright flash like that.
Anyway sorry to hear about your problems, Mr. Dream, but good for you for giving it a try, and we all wish you the very best of luck.
