Back when I was in my 30's and a size 0 (which is where I want to be again), I played hell trying to find clothes that fit me. Stores just didn't carry sizes that small and I found myself shopping in the girls departments a lot. Nowadays it isn't uncommon to find size 00 in a lot of stores. So while the "average" American woman may be a 14/16, I know there are a lot more tiny people out there than there used to be.
