I remember reading right when the deal was announced that this guy said they would make sure the trackers were still up and working on other less centralized servers before the sale was final. I don't remember exactly where it was or how it put it, but it made it sound like they would just be shifting a lot of the torrent stuff to another site. I see nothing about other torrent related projects in that article. He says the money will be used for politics? He also mentions VideoBay, not necessarily torrent related.
The fact that they get no user info is because TPB never logged any.
He also says the BitTorrent community would need less centralized servers but he says nothing about him being involved in that.
