Yes, it was in December - but I just recently became aware of the issue. The domain was set on auto-renew .. and unfortunately (this is an explanation, not an excuse..) I have a "full plate" and just assumed that everything was running smooth as most of the sites I own are on "autopilot" and I've never had any issues before.
