You will get no argument from me about the commodification of martial arts in America, side effect of capitalism for sure.
My contention is that MMA is not a representation of martial arts but rather the beginnings of a martial system (term borrowed from Donn Draeger).
Having a bunch of morally and spiritually bankrupt meat heads running around claiming they are the "evolution of martial arts" is as counterproductive as McDojo's.
