Willy DeVille passed away today from pancreatic cancer. His band Mink DeVille was one of the early influential punk bands.

I liked the band's unique style which incorporated the Blues - here is Willy DeVille doing an acoustic version of "Cadillac Walk":

His career following the break up of Mink DeVille was quite eclectic, and included Cajun and Creole influences.
