My website designer was a 17 year old back then. I had to drive to his parents house 3 times a week with floppy discs and cd's with pics so he could design stuff. His parents were aware of it. He had a hosting company too and was making more then his parents
Now the guy is working for Disney as a marketing genius. I should have given him a fixed position back then when he turned 18.
