I grew up in the home of Dunkin Donuts - in fact my parents used to get donuts at the FIRST Dunkin Donuts ever (no one here probably knows that there were two brothers who started the business, and they had a falling out, so the second brother opened a shop called "Mr. Donut" a couple of miles away, and the donuts at Mr. Donut were *much* better lol). Before I moved to Cali, Dunkin Donuts had expanded so much that there were at least two of their stores per mile, in any direction, from my house - there are actually some places where there is a Dunkin Donuts ACROSS from a Dunkin Donuts (I'm not sure if that's where Lewis Black came up with his bit about a Starbucks across from a Starbucks
)
Having said that - Dunkin Donuts can't compare to Krispy Kreme. It's like comparing McDonald's to Ruth's Chris
(I understand, though, that the coffee at Dunkin Donuts is by far the best....I don't drink coffee, though, so I can't speak to that one.)
