How are YOU doing with the loss of your pet? Dogs pick up on their owners emotions too. They know that something is wrong, not just with the other dog being gone, but how you are acting too. They are not fond of change, they like their routine and all that goes with it. I do not have a Jack, but dogs are 'pack' animals, make sure that things go on as they would otherwise, either with or without another dog.
