i walk her everyday for at least an hour in the evening, and on the weekends we usually go play with some of my friends dogs, or go hiking in the woods, so she is plenty active. she also has more toys than i did when i was a child. i'm hoping she will grow out of it as she gets older (she is only about 7 - 8 months old right now), but i don't know.
as far as the bitter sprays i haven't tried them yet but everyone tells me bitter apple works great. i doubt it would deter her though. when she gets it in her mind that she wants to do something, short of hitting her with a large dose of ketamine there isn't much you can do to stop her. they are stubborn and willful dogs, but they're so loving i can't get too mad at her.

When you release the dog's energy in this case is key. If your dog is cooped up all day alone, with all that energy, then of course they are going to get into things Whether it's seperation anxiety or just sheer boredom, leaving a dog full of energy in a house cooped up is a recipe for destruction. Try tiring your dog out thoroughly BEFORE you leave the house, that way they are tired and lazy for the day.
