as far as reason to carry? do you know anything about nyc? I mean a shooting dont even make it on the news in most cases, i just did a quick search for ya to see what went down this past weekend, trust me there where at least 20 more shootings

I mean its non stop here and this is not counting the stabbings and god knows what else, its become a disaster here lately
people who come to ny should be more aware of whats up and know where to go and where not to and hiring off duty cops or former cops who carry is a better option for most seeking protection vs carrying yourself legal or not
