I can see where you are coming from. But I can see a 70 year old adequately parenting in the teen years if they taught and nurtured them from birth. It comes down to the parenting from day 1 which will mold the relationship in the formative and teen years.

70 year old's may not have the physical strength but the one thing they have is wisdom and life experience in having already lived that long. And paying that forward is a strength to pay forward more than a physical strength. It's about having lived in mind and spirit, not just body. That is nurturing from more than just physically keeping up.
