Well, kind of.
*for cliffs just look at the pics, I didn't intend to post this much, sorry*
It used to be the corporate office for an IT company my boss used to run, it's been storage for an array of random shit since the company closed it's doors.
So he started moving stuff out and moving a few things in. The office is going to stay pretty much the same way it is, I'm going to be bringing a computer or laptop down and doing all the editing from there, and it will double as a lounge area for people when not shooting or girls rides since I don't let people shoulder tap. There's a huge printing thing in there that will be moved too. There's still some big stuff we need to get out but for a place you could barely walk in two weeks ago, it's come a long way.
Here is the office. I really like the desk and am considering bringing my HP w/ 24" monitor down but I might just do a laptop (the computer that's there works but is shit) for now until I do my dual monitor set-up at the house.
The square room will probably be moved around a little, the plants are obviously going to go, the couch looks like it's still in good shape so I will be using that.
The long room still needs the carpets replaced or heavily cleaned in a couple spots, the thing in the corner is a storage compartment the guy who owns the building is going to take home and use outdoors. We will probably be putting a bed in here for bedroom scenes, and will be going to purchase wall hangs and other tasteful decorations in the next week or so.
The hallway I thought was pretty cool with the lights on the wall that we are going to have the ability to put black lights in and do cool glow-in-the-dark stuff with since I think that's always pretty neat.
And here is the beautiful (haha) outside of the building. It looks like complete shit and super small outside but it's not too bad when you walk in the door. He also has the ability to print signs on laminate so we will be doing a backlit sign on the outside when we finally agree on a name.
Open to suggestions on how to set everything up and what colors we should paint things. I was thinking just a nuetral color and hang stuff on the walls but I might want to keep it the way it is.
Not the prettiest thing ever, but can't beat it for free and it allows me to work on this while at my regular job since it's in the back of the property, and I don't have to shoot out of my house anymore lol.
Since the owner is also a metal fabricator I was also considering buying a bunch of different lights and having him build lighting mounts into the walls and also using the stands to move them around too. Bad idea, too much work? Or does this sound like a decent idea.
Total cost so far including the couch, desk, computer, and cleaning everything out = $0.
