That person ended up getting the job, and within 2 months was gone from the company. I've seen that person blow through 3 other companies since.
I think too much is made of experience when it comes to hiring an affiliate manager/rep, and it always ends up being the same people recycled over and over. If you have a strong customer service background you can be trained to handle the other stuff, but if someone has gone through 5 different jobs in a few years there is a reason...
