It's worse than 40%. I just checked the messagewall logs on my mail server and it's
rejecting 84% of the incoming mail as spam.

If you are a sysadmin, http://messagewall.org is a very very very good tool for dealing with the spam problem at a server level and still provide granularity down to a domain level or even a specific email address.

there are two SpamCop's out there.

Spamcop.net is the original real deal, run by a computer geek who hates spam and has services that run the gamut from for the individual user to those for mail server admins.

The .com is way too slick...

Are you referring to both of them, or one in particular?
