i am only guessing at this, but i think dwb is hanging out in the places he needs to hang out, for biz. there is so much amazing shit in Thailand, i can't even begin to give you a real sense of it. all of south east asia (for the most part), is just completely amazing. i mean, it's full-on mind blowing, different world than here. just one example, the rock climbing in Railay (west coast, near Phuket) is absolutely world class. super cool vibe there too. there is also this water cave you can swim into there during low tide, it's just crazy. i have a friend who has a sailboat in ko lipe, and we have gone out at night, and swam with the plankton, they all light up at night when you jump in the ocean, it's one of the top 3 coolest things i've ever done in my life.
just pick up a lonely planet Islands and Beaches, and head out. will change your life.

koh tarutao marine national park is even more awesome. koh lipe is in that chain of islands, as is the actual island of koh tarutao:

which is where they filmed Survivor Thailand. The new, hippest, undeveloped, but coolest island currently in southern Thailand is Koh Bulon. They only have one bar, and it rocks.
