You clearly see him stamping down. If you were going for the ball you wouldn't do that. He stamps down with power, seeing that the other guy was getting there first. Whether he meant to break his leg or not, there was some intent there to do some damage.

And his reaction is just pathetic! Showing anger at the red card and then just laughing, while Wasilewski is lying there with his leg in a mess...
