it's a testimony to the economic powerhouse port of los angeles that it can be a huge money generator in spite of union shenanigans. it's amazing to see how much business the port does and creates.
not only that, but the port has the strictest pollution/air quality standards of any port in america, i believe even the world. above federal guidelines and on track to meet their goals in 2011.
