WRONG! If anything, everything that is in the bible that was subscribed to the workings of a god are now in fact explainable phenomena. The fact is, that those people didn't know what the hell was going on, so it isn't any wonder why they assigned a religion and dogma to it.
The very fact that other ancient cultures recorded the same events as well as bridging or sharing or incorporating myths from one cultural religion to another is the first instance of the actual absence or sustainability of a definable and organized religion.
So no, sorry... science doesn't back religion, it backs the natural events as DEPICTED in the bible and other religious or cultural texts. Religion is to all purposes "Schrodinger's Cat" and science will always be the guy (observer) that opens the box.
