The song's a few years older than he is, Thriller was released at the end of 1982 and written way before that, and Bhatti was born May 12, 1984. Did his mom have a 3 year long pregnancy?

Having said that...my guess as to why he used other people for sperm donors instead of himself would be this:
The guy was obviously taking massive amounts of female hormones. Not only to satisfy his desire to kinda be Dianna Ross, but also it kept his vocal range real high (similar to the "Castrato" of old times). I don't believe he could get an erection or have any fertile sperm taking that much female hormone.

Agreed 100%, who the hell cares. Personally, I think he didn't want to use his own sperm because he didn't want to pass on his genetic traits, namely vitiligo plus a few others he was rumored to have.
