If the DA TOLD him that they had him on video, I think it's then up to the accused
to ask to see the video. I don't think the DA is required to carefully explain every
detail of the video to the guy if the dude is too cocky to watch it himself. From my
understanding, each side has to turn over evidence on request - not force the other
side to look at it, and they don't have to explain to the other side why the evidence
is important.
