Wow, this sounds like my recent situation. Odd.
Lol my problem is I wanted her back.
My advice. Go the other way. Do your own thing. The past is the past for a reason. Asking 'why now' is right. Girls love it when you still like them. It's a flattery thing. They'll go out of their way a bit to keep you interested if they can.
