I don't think the churches have anything to do with it. I like how Dawkins puts it in his book "The God Delusion". There are no Catholic children or Muslim children or (fill in the religion) children, but there ARE children of Catholic parents and Muslim parents and (fill in the religion) parents. Parents indoctrinate their religion onto their children not churches, they merely re-enforce the brainwashing the parents started.
And if parents just drop their kids off there to get them out of their hair... Well those are parents who don't deserve kids and akin to child abuse.
