I will completely agree that they should vet their employees way better. Let's look at it from a reality standpoint, though. They hire alot of low income people... especially people who are from the lowest income areas of the cities they provide services in.

I have worked at all kinds of different jobs and no matter where I worked there were people who were into shady or illegal shit... in fact I would say that it is probably safe to assume that some of the programs who advertise on this board have employees at their companies that sell drugs, buy prostitutes, steal or any number of illegal activities. It's pure math and reality... it happens everywhere...

It's only logical to assume that any of these organizations that hire these people from the hood have huge exposure. I know... I have been on the streets... for years after I got out of prison that was my reality. I just worked my ass off until I pulled myself out of it. I have seen all kinds of dirt being done... even at churches. It is the social norm of that sector of our population that has played a big role their way of life to the point that they no longer relate to the rest of society. I am not making an excuse for them... everyone can change and I am living proof of that fact... however, I think that ACORN has done way more good than harm.

An ACORN associated group to aid ex convicts got me off the streets when I was homeless and helped me get an apartment. They also gave me food and job leads. They were called "The Ex Convicts Contact Center". That was some years ago... but I don't think everything they do is sinister and I don't think it's organizational policy to promote sinister activity. I do know that it's a fact of life that those community outreach organizations hire alot of people from the street and that some of those people are what have given ACORN it's bad name of late. I don't believe for a second that it comes from the top... because that is just retarded to say.
