Yea, he beat him once, on Sampras' way out. And Federer had no peer until Nadal came along.Nadal has beaten him on Federer's best surfaces, while Federer has yet to beat him in the French Open. Federer got his grand slam at 28, Nadal will probably do it next year. He's 2-5 against Nadal in grand slams. Federer also has had the luxury of NOT being injured and NOT having a peer until Nadal came along. Sampras had Agassi, Courier, Rafter, Chang, Becker, etc.
