I liked Swayze as an actor and he seemed like a decent guy among the shitheels in Hollywood. It's tragic when anyone gets Pancreatic cancer, but especially when it goes undetected until Stage IV (final), which is what happened to Patrick Swayze in January 2008. Nevertheless, given his diagnosis at that time, he was lucky to live another 20 months after his diagnosis. Most Stage 4 people are given 6 months to live. Someone I knew made it just 4 months.

It's such a tragic illness because it's difficult to detect until it's too late, as was the case with Swayze. R.I.P.
