I have a gay microniche dating website thats still small but slowly growing.

I want to use my credit cards and spend a few thousand dollars and do a big promotion to really get it to start cooking and spread the word. I was wondering whats the best way?
I could print out tshirts and give them away to members hoping they wear them at bars and out at events.
I could print out club flyers and pass them out at bars. I could advertise in gay newspapers.
I could just spend the money on adwords advertising.

I have been doing tgp galleries and the traffic has been garbage. People sign up but almost none of them fill out their profiles or post a photo. So I am looking for other places to promote the site.
