It is. It's sad to see ANY woman die during child birth. That shouldn't happen anywhere.

Of course it's not about death. Forced marriage is horrible, but a lot of countries still practice this. That's sad, but that's life. Unless you are going to go and try to do something about it, because I'm not, I'm not going to lose sleep over it. And even though you read about it in the news and see it on TV, you will not lose sleep over it either.

Nice closed western mind you have. My 12 year old raised in a western world, has nothing to do with a 12 year old raised in an environment that condones such things. However, if it was normal around the world for 12 year olds to do this, why would I object? Because western teachings and Christianity told me it's wrong? Sorry, I'm putting my money on nature, evolution, natural selection and the universe. Not man made laws, ideas or morals, that change every so often with the wind. If we were born 100 years ago, maybe less, your 12 year old daughter, and mine, may both be married with kids by now.
