My mind isn't closed. My mind isn't clouded by religious traditions of what is accepted and where, either.
I notice you haven't denied you'd be singing a different tune if you had a 12 year old daughter of your own in this situation. Maybe you're too young to even imagine yourself in this situation? Just speculating there, though.
