Is there much point writing a FAKE TUBE SITE these days?

By fake, I mean, non stolen content.

You get your script of choice, brand up a domain, fill it full of thousands of sponsor galleries, promote it throughout your network of hundreds of sites, funnel the traffic to it, try and make bank on anything non-porn you can think of that actually can't be stolen - cams, pills, products, and hey presto, loads of dough?

It seems to me that surfers are getting more and more cluey, and will spot promo only short sponsor videos a mile off. They are not going to bookmark a site (keep coming back, and hopefully buy some shiz) that contains only those.

But - are there enough noob surfers in the middle ground, seeing the word "tube" and peeing their pants, to make it worthwhile?

I take on too many dumbass projects as it is, I'm trying to knock off my to-try list, projects which are non-starters. To me, as someone who stares at this stuff day in day out, I can't for the life of me see how it can make much bank doing it this way, but I could very easily be wrong.

What's your 2 cents?
