That sucks.
I have real credit cards, but unfortunately in my country there is a currency exchange restriction, so I cannot use them to buy in foreign currency.
To use them, you have to go to the bank, present some paperwork and get a credit card approved for foreign currency expenses. And you can only spend $400 a year online and $2500 abroad for ATM withdrawals, etc. (The joys of living under Hugo Chavez's regime. When I read how some people defend this asshole I wish they could come and live here for a couple of months and experience it for real and not from the comfort of their computer chair. But thats another subject.)
Back when I presented my paperwork in the bank I made the mistake of applying for a virtual credit card the bank was offering. It was a great idea at the time because you could use that virtual card (similar to the epass virtual visa) for buying things online and locking it after you are done using it.
Now I'm stuck with that card for buying online because transferring the permission to use foreign currency on another card takes like 6 months. AC/DC tickets go on sale next week and I want to travel to brasil or argentina but I'm stuck with this card that I can use to buy the tickets with, but have no way of showing them the actual plastic when I want to get my tickets.
