Just because you like the way the OS feels doesn't mean it make the hardware run any faster that it is capable of. If you are trying to run software without using the right hardware on a PC then you are asking for trouble. Mac doesn't use cheap hardware so you can be ignorant about hardware and it will usually work with everything.
I like to configure my hardware setup myself and I know I have the best components for the job for my budget. The OS is nothing but a GUI (graphical user interface)

Umm... the software is very different.. It has nothing to do with a GUI. If it was a GUI change, we would see a lot more crossed over software.
You know like 10,000+ processional and amateur video/audio studios, used a PC, went to Mac and never came back. For many reasons.
Personally, I don't like OSX, so it isn't a 'feels good' thing to me. It's a professional studio in a tiny box with better quality, speed, less problems, less upgrades, less hardware configure, and less overall issues.
I bet you $1000 I can setup a Mac for Video faster than you can a PC. I just need to open the box and plug it in, how about you?
My PC is easily twice the speed as K's Mac. But she can load, process, convert, clean up, give effects, adjust audio, merge clips/movies, etc... at least twice the speed as my PC. Heck, I can't even do half the crap she can without loading up some plugin, or some other software.
I can actually SEE the Color quality difference between the Youtube videos (and designs) done on a Mac vs PC.
And that's the thing, you NEED two PC's... so while you mange two PC's, I'm letting one mac do twice the work while I chill in the pool.
