I use a website called LateRooms.com. You can search for hotels/ apartments by location & date. Some hotels are TOTALLY against you shooting porn there, but with apartments, it's generally a case of do as you please as long as you don't break anything. I would personally avoid using a studio, simply because of how regularly you'll have to change sets. What you'll look at paying to redecorate and fill the studio with new props...you could have rented a nice apartment for a weekend & shot all over it, then simply rent a different place the next time. I guess it all depends what type of content you're looking to shoot.
