My money as an affiliate grew every year from 1996 to 2007. In 2008 it went sideways and I made the same as 2007. And in 2009 with the absolute explosion of piracy? It's cut in half.
So I wouldn't say it was in decline for a "long time"
But it's damn sure in a free fall now.
