Nirvana was a HUGE pop band. I used to love the uptempo beats and cheerful melodies, the same goes for Pink Floyd too. What's really great is their videos. Both bands had the best dance choreography.
I guess most pop bands start out recoding their first album for $600 in a tiny recording studio so they can really capture that "music made for the masses" formula. LOL...but shhh, don't telling anyone, you don't want everyone to be a pop star, do you?

OMG i had a gf who used to listen to pink floyd and i would go fucking nuts, they are like folk singers, how gay is that. talk about genius marketing, anyone who can take such a shitty band and make them popular gets my vote.
