Knocking down the weaker competition is what happens in this case. A club will do a number of dirty tricks to kill the competition. The most favorite is to book dancers who don't show, send over underage customers, send over loud and obnoxious guys, canceling beer and liqueur orders, parking garbage trucks in the parking lot, filling the parking lot with junk cars, and so on. Now, dirty tricks are not illegal but might give the club owner that needed rise in business they need due to the competitions misfortunes.
I guess there could be some illegal actions a club owner could take to knock out a rival business though I will not elaborate on what those could be. However, I know that once a club is shutdown for a period of time it is very difficult for it to recover customers and come back to what it once was.
Most club owners though play nice and don't do anything to piss off the other club owners. Like nobody would run a dollar Beer special more than night a week, or offer $5 steaks outside of happy hour. The clubs tend to have their own niche as well and tend to not step on each other. However, a new club that comes in and steps on everyone else's toes will find themselves with problems they never expected to have.

I worked in one club as a 'house girl' that was literally right across the street from another one, the guy across the street was always sending cops to our bar, and causing so much other shit- I can't ethically go into detail with it in a public forum, but it was all based on competition and spite.
He WAS 'that new guy' stepping on the toes of the older, more established business, in the end my club got busted for some major drug shit in the end
And the others club, died down and fizzled out due to lack of interest and other components (whores in the industry etc..)
so yeah, running in like a bat outta hell, is never a good idea but neither is getting rail roaded by sum shmuck!
The tubes are very much the 'New Guy' stepping on the toes of those who have worked HARD to be where they are.

He was fighting the very power that kept him in business.
At least we had a bust and got shut down, he just died due to lack of interest
the tubes will be loosing too, when people don't spend money in porn advertising because they fucked up the bottom line for the producers and models themselves...
no one will have the cash to advertise on their sites, and then what?
