The name should also be able to make the jump from solely inhouse/affiliate marketing to multiple communities marketing - this means someone else beside the domain owner can get some value (social currency) from spreading the name - meaning the name has to be self-explanatory, sound natural as a noun (ex. "check out live cams dot com" vs. "check out 247 live cams dot com), and if its a real killer domain, then it also has verb use, so the name can be worked into the language/slang itself (ex. the amount of free branding Google.com is getting from all the people that "googles for things on the internet" is why you donīt see alot of google ads on TV - they donīt need to, they have becomed the verb for "searching" on the internet).
Livecams.com has alot of the above criterias - only thing missing is the built-in verb usage, but only a handfull of domains comes with existing or latent verb use (actual I can only think of a few domain names in the cam sex industry that has existing or latent verb use )

Well put, nice post. One thing I really like about the domain is that it can be used for mainstream cams and not just adult and its completely self explanatory.
