first, the reason why "porn princess" is out of a job is because she is asking for to much and shes not very good at what she does. With the economy in the shitter, girls (and ones that normally wouldn't do porn) are coming out of the wood work.
Ive talked to a couple of girls, who were bar tenders or even friends of friends and once they found out that you have even a thread of a connection in the adult industry they begged to be in and for cheap!
so the surplus of talent has now decreased the price you have to pay them (economics 101... im glad I paid attention the 2nd time I had to take this class in college

I can't argue that tubes are killing some of the business, but not all of it. porn wont shut down because of tubes and if you think that, your just stupid. however I do agree that it has had an impact on a lot of our sites and conversions, especially as an affiliate.
why would someone want to come to my MGP/TGP, download files and risk either getting caught with porn on their computer or getting a virus? with a tube, they wack and go... pretty ingenious
however, look at the content on the tubes. its all hardcore general type. what about the people looking for a fetish? what about a solo babe? there is still a huge market for that.
finally, regardless of tubes or people stealing content, the business model of selling people access to videos and pictures will eventually change. IMO, cam and live sites will become more and more popular as time goes on where users can direct what they want to see.
