I would think the denying of permits to protest without fair reason would be the better indicator of freedom lost. I support the right to protest but I don't support protesters who purposely create drama just to cry about it after.
If any three idiots could spontaneously gather and stage a protest against whatever they feel like wherever they feel like with no regard to the lives they disrupt as they do it some would feel as though their freedoms were being taken away by them. Like the freedom to drive down the street and not have to wait 10 minutes for the 10 year olds to clear the roadway. If this was a permitted protest and the protesters followed the rule of law I'm sure there would have been no arrests. Even in this 'edited for innocence' video I see kids resisting arrest and failing to obey the instructions of peace officers. If those arrests are unjust and those instructions for poor reason they would have a case against the police. Too bad for them they thought it smart to argue about it at the scene, that's an automatic wrong even if they're right, shoulda saved it for the courtrooms after the fact.
