Because of the Baby Boom Generation, everyone's a victim, nothing is ever 'their' fault. Boomers have been blaming everyone and everything except themselves and their own actions since their plague infected this planet starting around 1942-ish. The Earth will not survive until all those selfish, self-oriented, self-serving egomaniacal/megolomaniacal selfists (did I mention Baby Boomers are selfish?) FINALLY DIE so we can all get on with living reasonable lives where people take responsibility for their own actions and no longer blame others, God, the Universe, porn or anything else for their 'problems'.
This assumes, of course, perhaps wrongly, that the Baby Boomer's offspring will be anything better then their hideously inward-focused parents. I actually doubt this, even tho I used to believe such generational behaviors 'skipped' a generation. I WAS hoping the Baby Boomer's children would be more like 'the Greatest Generation' - you know, taking responsibility, overcoming hardships, fighting the good fights, yada yada. But it's looking like the YouTube Generation will turn out to be mini-Boomers ('Echo Boomers'?) who will, in the end, be worse than the Boomers themselves, and less prepared to do anything that requires maturity, intelligence, forethought and a sense of global responsibility. Shit, they're too busy being distracted by their Blackberrys, Playstations, the aforementioned YouTube, this gadget and that reality show and this toy and that false 'outrage' manipulated by the Corporate Propogandists that rule our Land.
Ergo: we're fucked. So yes, let's blame porn, shall we all?
