If you are short of funds then needs must I would suppose. Personally I have never sold a business asset and even when I have had to wait 10 years for a return I have always made a solid profit for the company.

A lot of times I am just testing some technology or platform to see the results. Then I move on. Sometimes it becomes more a hassle then expected, and I do not want the site.

I always invest that money back into content, my business, or another idea. Making money is easy if you know what you are doing, and sometimes doing the leap frog is a good method if you are confident in your ideas and business model. It has served me well.

It does not work for everyone, and many just blow the money. So they lose that stream of income and do not replace it, nor plan for the down months.
